Since 2022, COVID-19 outbreaks have recurred across China. As a manufacturer of medical hospital beds, Helse Medical (Chengdu Helse High-Tech Medical Equipment Co., Ltd.) has undertaken production tasks for isolation ward beds in mobile cabin hospitals and sub-designated hospitals in multiple provinces and cities. In August, Chengdu faced an extreme heatwave, leading to power rationing and production curbs for industrial enterprises to prioritize electricity supply for residents. The company immediately adopted staggered electricity use, organized full staff to work night shifts, and activated standby generators, all-out to ensure the production and supply of anti-epidemic hospital beds.

United as one, all employees worked together to deliver high-quality isolation ward bed units for mobile cabin hospitals and sub-designated hospitals in multiple regions. As of August, Helse Medical had completed over 20 emergency support projects for mobile cabin hospitals and sub-designated hospitals in Kunming, Guang’an, Lhasa, Luzhou, Meishan, Renshou, Longchang, Suining, etc., with a total of more than 10,000 hospital beds constructed.

In September, Chengdu faced another resurgence of the pandemic. In accordance with national, provincial and municipal epidemic prevention requirements, Chengdu implemented citywide home isolation for all residents from September 1 to September 4, 2022, along with universal nucleic acid testing.As a specialized manufacturer of anti-epidemic supplies, the company promptly applied for the "closed-loop production bubble" model for industrial enterprises in compliance with relevant regulations. It activated the emergency plan for epidemic prevention and production, with all staff stationed on-site to carry out closed-loop manufacturing.

To ensure the smooth operation of the company’s closed-loop production, the Management Committee of Chengdu Modern Industrial Park arranged dedicated personnel for targeted coordination. A nucleic acid testing site was set up near the factory gate to offer great convenience. Meanwhile, sufficient manpower and materials were allocated to guide and support the company’s operations.Efforts were thus made to advance epidemic prevention and production in tandem, providing solid support for the overall anti-epidemic work.
